The place is ideal for snorkelling and water sports. The clear waters offer excellent visibility for snorkelling. Explore life under the sea and get a different perspective by kayaking or paddleboarding on the coasts. Exploring the reef at low tide is a must.

On the beach, artisans sell their products. These products range from Malagasy traditional hats to wristbands to plants. You will also see men selling coconut water. Massage before or after a swim does good for the body. Many women offer massage. The ones belonging to a massage association wear a white coat with a logo of their organisation woven on the left side of their coats.

A series of restaurants line the main street of Foulepointe and the beachfront. On the beachfront, one can order fresh seafood cooked after the order is made. Sometimes, you must wait an hour before the cooked food is served.

Numerous hiking trails run through lush, green, tropical forests, where you can see local wildlife and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings. Otherwise, a stroll in the town centre is refreshing.
Boat tours are another exciting activity. Guided boat tours along the coastline or visiting the reef by pirogue is an experience. These tours provide a unique perspective of the area’s natural beauty.

Some Practical Tips for Visiting Foulpointe
Planning ahead for your visit to Foultepointe is essential to maximise your trip. The following are some of my practical tips for such a visit.
The best time to visit Foulepointe is during the dry season, from May to October. Foulepointe offers the most pleasant weather for beach activities and exploration during this period.
There is a range of accommodations available in Foulepointe. These range from charming beachfront bungalows to comfortable guesthouses and hotels to ensure you are close to all the action. Foulepointe accommodations exude different experiences that allow you to remain close to everything a visitor would wish for.
While Foulpointe is small enough to explore on foot, you may want to rent a bicycle or take a rickshaw (Pousse Pousse) to get to surrounding spots. Car rentals are also available for longer journeys.
The road to Foulepointe from Toamasina could be in a better state. Though not relatively from Toamasina, the time to get there is unrealistic.
