Conquering the Tsingy: A Team-Building Journey in Madagascar’s Stone Cathedrals

From a distance, the Tsingy looks like an endless field of grey stone blades. Up close, it is a labyrinth of narrow crevices, jagged edges, and high suspension bridges swaying in the wind. Every step required concentration, coordination, and a healthy dose of courage.

Most importantly that from the photos we took don’t show are the moments that brought us closer together as a team:

Helping each other keep balance on a swaying bridge

Strategising how to pass gear through narrow gaps

Sharing bursts of laughter after tough stretches

Encouraging one another to push past our limits.

3 Leadership Lessons from the Tsingy:
1️⃣ Trust is built in small moments – when you know someone’s literally got your back
2️⃣ Adaptability is key – no obstacle is too big when you break it down together
3️⃣ Growth happens outside comfort zones – and sometimes hundreds of meters above ground

Completing this circuit wasn’t just about physical endurance — it was a live exercise in leadership, communication, and mutual support. We completed the circuit with a renewed sense of unity and a shared memory that will serve as a touchstone for future challenges.
